Transformation of 240 Hectares of Irrigation Land for Rice Farming
This initiative project , geared towards promoting local agriculture, employment opportunities, improvement of local economy through sustainable farming and reducing dependence on rice imports, entails clearing and destumping 240 hectares of land. Additionally, it involves levelling and bunding to facilitate the large-scale cultivation of cereal crops.
This significant farming milestone was accomplished in collaboration with Samart Engineering Consultants from Bangkok, Thailand. They have partnered with DML in the development of a sustainable and cost-effective farm engineering approach to achieve the desired results within the specified timeframe.
As part of the project scope, the construction of canals, roads, and drainage systems was meticulously planned and executed. This encompassed a comprehensive approach to Water Resource Planning, Drainage, and Flood Protection Systems, Environmental Engineering, as well as Rural Development and Planning, ensuring a holistic and integrated approach to land management.
