The goal of the project is to stop perineal floods in the Korle Lagoon and Odaw Channel by engaging in dredging and other related activity.

Dredging and non-dredging components are the project’s two main subcomponents. The project’s scope included the desilting and waste removal in the Odaw channel, the beautification of the banks of the Odaw channel, the dredging of the Korle lagoon, the beautification of the banks of the Korle lagoon, the analysis and restoration of the KLERP, the restoration of the existing stone jetty with the goal of reducing flooding in the catchment area of the lagoon, increasing the population of marine life in the lagoon, and more. a rise in the area’s potential for land use due to an improvement in the water quality of the lagoon, an improvement in the general hygienic conditions of the area surrounding the lagoon, Protection and enhancement of the Lagoon’s surroundings, landscaping (taking parking, lighting, and security into consideration), safeguarding the canal’s and lagoon’s banks, and redesigning and building the breakwater and KLERP interceptor.
